Modern Institute of Management (MIoM) (being a university in terms
of European and American classification system) is an educational
institution of higher professional education. Modern Institute of
Management has been granted a state license and accredited to issue
diplomas and degrees (made up as per the state format) to its graduates
that are unconditionally recognized over all of the territory of
Russia, former Soviet republics and almost all over the world.
Education level rendered to MIoMs graduates has been supported by
the state standard requirements imposed upon the higher educational
institutions to be qualified as those provided with the state accreditation.

In Institute, the following fields of training are taught: management,
foreign relations, PR, marketing, law (civil law, criminal law,
canonical law, international law, constitutional law), theology,
psychology (psychological consulting, psychoanalysis, management
psychology), business administration, finance and credit, economics,
accounting, audit, etc.
Institute trains bachelors, experts (masters), doctors (candidates) of science.
The history and description
Modern Institute of Management is One of the first Russian commercial universities of new Russia.
In short time Modern Institute of Management was formed as a complex
educational, scientific, research, informational and analytic centre
which is able to solve tasks on a level of current demands.
The Institute has modern educational facilities, reading halls,
comfortable halls of residence, holiday hotels and recreation centers,
its own Centre of social and cultural activities.
In structure of Modern Institute of Management there are more than
10 branches and representations (including Two capitals of Russia -
Moscow end St.Petersburg).
In accordance with licence more than 2 thousand of students from all
regions of Russia get high education by 15 specialties. More than 1
thousand from them study in Moscow. Postgraduate training, retraining
and professional development are carried out on 10 directions. The
Institute has dissertation councils on defence of a doctoral and
candidate’s thesis; postgraduate course and doctoral candidacy.
Educational process in the Institute is provided by faculties of
high professional level (more than 70 % have academic degree and
academic rank. Academic curriculum of Modern Institute of Management
includes teaching of more than 250 academic disciplines, optional and
author’s courses.
Uniqueness of Modern Institute of Management is in the fact that it
is in originality of many educational directions which are not exist
neither in Russia no abroad. Modern Institute of Management is the main
institution in the field of preparation personnel for social,
psychological, business, theological spheres simultaneously.
Professors
Team of professors and teachers is one of the best one in Russia,
which is supported by the state awards and diplomas and also diplomas
issued by various European universities and associations.
MIoMs Professors and part-time professors are from such world higher
educational institutions as the Moscow State University, Moscow State
Institute of Foreign Relations, Russian University of Peoples’
Friendship, St.-Petersburg State University.
The professors and teachers of Institute are welcomed to teach in
the other institutes and universities of Russia, CIS and Europe and to
attend the international scientific conferences.
Scientific activities
Institute organizes on a regular basis the international scientific
and practical conferences attended by reputable scientists as well as
ministers, businessmen, and officers of diplomatic missions.
Education is provided either free of charge (owing to governmental curators) or at a symbolic fee.
The main purpose is to improve knowledge of people. In this point,
the Institute is currently planning to create a network chair of ethics
together with UNESCO; this chair is expected to include several higher
educational institutions from all over the world.

The Institute has a campus, therapeutic and Gym facilities.
The Institute maintains various forms of training: intramural and
extramural studies, evening courses, holiday courses and distance
learning.

The specific to studying
Integrated educational programmes. MIoM uses internationally
acknowledged programmes and technologies which meet also Russian state
standards. MIoM students are awarded the International and Russian
state Diplomas or Degrees.
Active distance learning. Widely used are active learning components
such as business games, in-group discussions, training, interactive
study materials. All the above allow students to shorten time required
to master the programmes and provide a real opportunity for leaders to
study without interrupting their business.
International level. MIoM teaches internationally acknowledged
programmes, students who successfully complete them are awarded
American end Europian Diplomas and Degrees.
Study materials. Students own the full set of unique study materials required to learn the course.
Relevance to job. This is realized due to study being based on real students' job situations.
Quality standards. A quality standards system is developed to
support single norms of tuition and students' knowledge. It includes
tutor monitoring procedures, co-ordination, statistics procedures, etc.
